Young forwards in form on the way to AIC

Incoming AIC Players

(From Left) Short, Godfrey, Adair

As most students are packing for college in the fall, three of our incoming Yellow Jackets pulled on a Northern California all star jersey and traveled to British Columbia for a three match series with the best that particular Canadian province had to offer.

Ryan Adair, Marshall Godfrey, and Josh Short were key factors in the Americans’ victory in the three game series. The games were played from June 19th to June 27th and featured games in Vancouver (BC), Victoria (BC), and San Francisco (CA). The Americans were off to a slow start in Vancouver but won the last two games to bring home the series win.

In the final game, Short and Godfrey put away two of three tries for Northern California with Godfrey scoring a late try to take the series win.

In a few short weeks, Adair and Short will look to contribute right away in a strong group of Yellow Jacket front row forwards while Godfrey will be roaming the field from the back row.

Adair added this concerning the transition from Northern California to Yellow Jacket:

I’m really looking forward to competing at the next level. I can’t wait to challenge myself against such a higher set of skilled players and to better myself as a rugby player. It’s going to be great to gain so many more teammates and friends…
